On October 31 at 1 p.m., Moorpark College will celebrate its newest crown jewel: the Beach Volleyball Stadium and Outdoor Training Facility! The grand opening event will feature student-athlete demos and speeches from Moorpark College President Julius Sokenu, Women’s Volleyball Coach Adam Black, and Kinesiology faculty Jeff Kreil.
This cutting-edge Beach Volleyball Stadium, the first of its kind in Ventura County, boasts eight NCAA-regulation courts with stadium lighting, officiating stands, and even an outdoor shower. Adjacent to campus parking and setup-ready for visiting teams, this stadium is set to host Raiders home games, 3C2A Beach Volleyball contests, CIF and NCAA events, and youth clinics throughout the summer.
Alongside the new courts is a brand new Outdoor Training Facility. The year-round open-space fitness hub, will offer students top-notch workout experiences with a range of gear—think kettlebells, medicine balls, battle ropes, and more. Students in the Exercise Science program and Moorpark College athletes will use this innovative space to hone training techniques, perform corrective conditioning, and reach fitness goals.
Big claps for Moorpark College!!!
