Alert the Grads 🎓

Big news for our upcoming Moorpark High grads! Thanks to a new agreement between Moorpark Unified School District and CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI), qualifying students now have a guaranteed spot at one of the most affordable Cal State universities.

Approved on October 8, this agreement opens doors for students who meet CSUCI’s eligibility requirements, offering access to top-tier programs in everything from STEM to the liberal arts. CSUCI is known for small class sizes and personalized attention, which means new students won’t get lost in the crowd.

With the 2025 CSU enrollment portal now open, MUSD grads set for June 2024 can apply. And to make things even easier, CSUCI is rolling out info sessions and hands-on support for the application process. Parents, this is your chance to learn how your kids can lock in their future success!

Simi Valley Town Center Gets a Boost! 🛒

Archway Capital, a very notable Commercial Real Estate Lending Company, has just sealed a $22.8 million deal to fund the purchase of the Simi Valley Town Center.

This massive 637,728-square-foot open-air retail hub, home to familiar favorites like Marshalls, Ulta Beauty, Starbucks, and more, is set to undergo a transformation.

The new owners have exciting plans to shift the vibe to lifestyle retail over the next year. Located on Simi Town Center Way, this 42-acre spot has been a shopping staple since 2005—and it's about to get even better!

It’s no secret to nearby residents that the town center has continually lacked foot traffic throughout time. Hopefully this change flips things around!

Moorpark College Wins BIG!

Moorpark College just took home FIRST place in the Community’s Choice Award for best college/university in Ventura County!

Not only did they outshine fellow community colleges like Oxnard and Ventura, but they also beat some heavy hitters like Cal Lutheran and CSU Channel Islands. As a proud former Raider, I’ve never been more excited to cheer on MC!
