Moorpark Meme of the Day 🍔
Troy Brown Announces Retirement 🏛️
After nearly seven years as Moorpark’s City Manager and over 30 years in public service, Troy Brown has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2025.
Since his appointment in 2018, Brown has left an indelible mark on Moorpark. He spearheaded strategic initiatives like the city’s comprehensive General Plan update, facilitated legacy housing projects, and completed major infrastructure improvements, including the Metrolink Station parking expansion and Princeton Avenue upgrades. His leadership also brought a new City Hall and finalized the budget and design for Moorpark’s future library.
Brown’s tenure was defined by a commitment to community engagement, fostering a culture of service within City Hall, and steering Moorpark through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor Chris Enegren praised Brown’s leadership, calling him instrumental in shaping Moorpark’s future and creating a unified, purpose-driven city staff.
Brown, a former President of the International City/County Management Association, plans to spend retirement traveling and enjoying time with his family. His contributions will undoubtedly influence Moorpark for decades to come.
