Nice Buns! 🥐

This Thanksgiving morning, California Bun is serving up more than gratitude—they’re giving away free breakfast buns! From 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., community members can grab a hot, fresh bun from the breakfast menu, courtesy of owners Kevin and Aliona Mata. It’s their way of saying thank you for the “awesome” support since opening last December.

Fan favorites like the Chorizo con Huevo, El Sabroso, and Farmboy buns are on the menu, packed with delicious fillings like eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, and more.

Adding to the festivities, California Coffee Republic will be brewing specialty coffee—marking a special reunion after their September closure. Guests also have a chance to snag free gift cards to California Bun and roasted coffee beans from the coffee shop.

Supplies will be limited, so don’t miss out!

Turkey Day Dash happens in 2 days! 🦃

The 21st Annual Thousand Oaks Turkey Day Dash is happening this THURSDAY!

Proceeds will benefit three incredible local nonprofits: the Southeast Ventura County YMCA, the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Foundation, and the Ventura County Council of Boy Scouts.

I usually focus on one event per newsletter, but Enegren Brewing has so much happening this week that I had to share their full lineup! I’ve been to their trivia night a few times, and it’s always a great time. If you check it out, let us know what you think—we’re always looking for feedback on the events we feature. Enjoy!

A big week for Moorpark College Athletes!

It’s been an exciting week for Moorpark College athletics, with students shining on and off the field! At the 3C2A State Championship in Fresno, track athletes sophomore Tyler Smith, freshman Tommy White , and freshman Maya Natarajan earned All-American honors—an incredible achievement for the Raiders.

In Men’s soccer, the WSC North Men’s Soccer coaches announced their All-WSC team, and Moorpark had four players recognized. Freshman Artun Vance was named WSC North Goalkeeper of the Year, while Freshman

Shane Donis made the All-WSC North First Team. Freshmen Marcos Hernandez and Uriel Diaz landed spots on the Second Team.

Meanwhile, Women’s Volleyball is in playoff mode, hosting San Bernardino Valley in the 2nd round of the 3C2A SoCal Playoffs tonight at 6pm. A win will see the Raiders hosting the Regional Final this Saturday, November 30, with a spot in the state finals on the line.
